This Privacy Policy explains how Aviation2Day Services, a sole proprietorship registered in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania ("Aviation2Day", "we", "us"), collects, uses, and protects information when you use Aviprep or Aviation Crew Logbook ("ACL"), together the "Services".

This Privacy Policy describes data practices across Aviation2Day Services generally. Aviprep, Aviation2day Blog and Aviation Crew Logbook may display additional privacy notices in-app covering specific features (such as permissions requested on your device, or data fields unique to that product). Please refer to the in-app privacy notices for the most current product-specific details.

1. Information We Collect

Account information: name, email address, and role (e.g. Pilot, Engineering/AME, Supervisor, Organisation) when you register.

Usage data: app interactions, study progress in Aviprep, and general device/analytics data (via Google Analytics) used to understand how the Services are used and to improve them.

Crew record data (ACL only): flight hours, maintenance entries, and related records you or your organisation choose to enter. This data is controlled by the user or organisation that enters it.

Payment data: processed directly by our third-party payment gateways. Aviation2Day does not receive or store full card numbers.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, maintain, and improve Aviprep and ACL;
• To process payments and manage subscriptions;
• To communicate with you about your account, product updates, or — if you’ve subscribed — our newsletter;
• To understand product usage through analytics, in order to improve features and fix issues;
• To meet legal and regulatory obligations.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter, your email address is stored solely for the purpose of sending you aviation news and study tips. You can unsubscribe at any time by contacting info@aviation2day.com.

4. Third-Party Services

We share limited data with the following categories of third parties, only as needed to operate the Services:

• Firebase (Google) — app hosting, authentication, and analytics infrastructure.
• Payment gateways — to process ACL and AviPrep subscription payments.
• Study material publishers (e.g. FAA, EASA-sourced content providers) — content is delivered to you in-app; these publishers do not receive your personal account data through Aviprep.

Each of these providers has its own privacy practices governing the data they process on our behalf.

5. Data Retention

We retain account and record data for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the Services. ACL crew records may be retained longer where needed to support regulatory record-keeping expectations, unless you request deletion and no such requirement applies.

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard measures, including Firebase's security infrastructure, to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting info@aviation2day.com. Organisation-managed crew records may need to be requested through your organisation administrator where applicable.

8. Children's Privacy

Aviprep is intended for users aged 16 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

9. International Users

The Services are operated from Tanzania and may be used by aviation professionals worldwide. By using the Services, you consent to your information being processed in Tanzania and in the countries where our service providers (such as Firebase/Google and our payment gateways) operate.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in-app or via the email associated with your account.
